Starting my drawing blog.

The morning is sunny and beautiful. Winter turns to Spring. A lot of drawings are resting everywhere and photos, taken during last summer, are waiting to be drawn.

How shall I continue? The great Finnish masters - Edelfelt, Gallen-Gallela etc. - were excellent drawers and have applied also a documenting style of drawing. They have been my favourites since my childhood (over 50 years ago) and I have tried to learn an similar, exact technique. But now I think that something new shall be found - colours, some other effects, not only exact lines...?

Hi Juha, your drawings need definitely some color! by the way, the fotos you've seen on my blog are taken in Masury, a polish lake-landscape in the north-east of Poland. Really beautiful. They are also a nice place fro drawing, specially if you keep away from the main touristiy sites and go a little bit outside.
Whe I read your name, I was just remembert, that I jused to write several times to a Juha from Finland, when I still were in primary school. But then contact stopt, because I'm not really the IT- typ and he startet writing complicated things about programing.

I have always been afraid of colours when drawing...I like colours and to combine different shades but to put them on paper is complicated. The origin of my "fobia" to use colours is originally caused by my school-time aquarels which turned to be too dark...
Thank you, Jeroschka, about your comment! I'll try to do something with (at least) with colour pencils during next summer.
